WHAT DOES A STUDENT AND INSTRUCTOR RELATIONSHIP LOOK LIKE?
I believe this relationship can be one of the deepest and meaningful relationships a person can develop besides family in life.
It starts with trust.
The student trusts the instructor first, to deliver an outcome based on payment.
The second level is the instructor uncovering what is holding the student back, both mentally and physically in developing the student.
The third level is when the instructor starts having the student do the right thing, rather than what is easy.
This starts when the instructor challenges mediocrity and half-effort from the students.
It means guiding the student on their personal journey and not doing the work for them.
It means stopping students who are not being authentic or real in their training.
It means making sure training does not mean sacrificing family, but enhances it.
This journey should complement and enhance a student’s life, not take away from it.
It starts and ends with trust, the student trusting the instructor will always do what is best, and the instructor trusting the student will pay for this service.
